A documentary portrait which follows the legendary Burstein Family, a popular Yiddish vaudeville troupe, on an odyssey from Europe, through Israel and South America all the way to New York's Second Avenue. The late Pesach'ke Burstein was one of the most acclaimed Yiddish theater actors of his day. Born into an Orthodox family in Poland and later shunned by his father for his acting ambitions, Pesach'ke emigrated to New York in 1924 and found success as a traveling actor and singer.
